I started by soaking a few seeds three years ago in water. One of them sprouted and grew into that 7 foot sapling you see in the pictures. You can read more about it and the four more Gala seedlings I am growing currently in this post: http://thecoconutchronicles.com/?p=64

I would suggest you try getting apples straight from an orchard instead of a supermarket. Apples in supermarkets are routinely kept refrigerated which can compromise the delicate seeds. Good luck and keep me posted on how it goes! I’d love to hear about your experiences in apple tree growing!
